*Custom Printed with 10 Archival Pigment Inks on Pro Luster Paper*
Traveling so much of North America slightly masked my expectations for rest of the world. South America presented a completely different variety of landscapes. The thick jungle environment covering whole mountains with massive volcanos protruding throughout, made for an experience I had no anticipation for. Using a boat as transportation one day brought me very close to volcano Atitlan. While trying to capture this jungle volcano, the boat’s large wake constantly obstructed my camera’s view. I decided the large wake would help add a layer of abstraction and depth in combination with the soaring volcano. I set my Fujifilm camera’s shutter speed to its fastest setting at one/four thousands of a second, freezing the movement of water coming off the boat as it cut through the lake.
